Lighten Up! It’s almost February…plus super bowl?

Well not quite
This is a 10 tips night.
Yes I do realize that most of the country USA, and probably Canada, is covered deep in snow. The northern climates also share still early darkness. Having lived long in Noerthern cold and snowy climates, all I can say is “Snow day! (= no school) Seriously, I also know a lot about cabin fever. (I used to be a counselor).
However February is the month of love and has a three day holiday weekend. Thus there are many traditions that can bring a smile to a weary face.
Tip #1: Eat chocolate. Prefarably dark chocolate all month long. Endorphins. Make it real healthy melt it over fruit. Lots of fruit. Put in by the pillows of all the family. Add it to lunch boxes.
Tip #2: (eat chocolate) Make Valentines. Start early. Plaster the house garage, the bathroom, the kitchen with funny valentines. Cut veggies in Valentine shapes, ditto bread for sandwiches. Involve the whole family. (Use extra bread for a bread puuding with chocolate hearts on the top. Use newspapers, wrapping paper, old cards or magazines, junk mail…spending $$$ is not necessary for fun!
Tip#3: SUn bathe. Stay fully clothed. Go out into the sun point your face toward the sun. Roll up jacket sleeves. Repeat 3X a day for 5 minute each.
Tip #4: Visit an elder friend. Bring a bunch of kids to sing to elders in a residential home.
Tip # 5: Sing. SIng often. Smile and SIng often.
Tip#6: Laugh. See how many people you can get to laugh wherever you are. Start a laugh chain. WHisper into someone’s ear and ask them to laugh, and do the same for the next person.
Tip#7: Learn something new.
Tip #8: Stretch.
Tip#9: Make 10 wwwierd dips for the SUperbowl. Make the guys sign a cleanup contract where they either each pay you $10 for cleaning, or they do the clean up.
