Journal writing 102: Release creativity, and play some.

Add spice and fun to today
Sometimes when you just start writing in your journal, you are not sure how to proceed. If you haven’t assigned a purpose to the journal (such as a business idea generation/planinng jurnal) then you have permission to choose any approach you want.
First take a moment to jot down a few notes about how you feel right now. Maybe draw a face to match. Ask yourself:
Do I want to dump feelings right now?
Do I want to create a new perspective on my sitution?
DO I want to list what I am thankful for?
Do I want to create a historical moment?
Add questionsto your list….perhaps all you need to do is write and listen to yourself.
I used to describe a concern, often about finances and then if I was really upset, I’d play with numbers. To chang my present situation I would need $x.xx money. Then I would write down 3 ideas about what I could do to create that income. Then I’d figure out a plan. Although I did not choose to explore my core feelings re: money, I would console myself witht the activitiy.
Perhaps you find or write a verse.
Perhaps you exaggerate your impression of an incident or how you feel. Do write a disclaimer, so if anyone ever read your writing that they could not use it against you in a court of law.
Your journal can: be used as a meditation, collect ideas for writing projects, self therapy, historical moments recoreded, diary for contemporary life and much more.
I had written much more but lost that when computer connectivity crashed. More later. Feel free to share, copy and print. Please give me credit and post my url. Thanks.
