Notes from a Bob Proctor Interview

Big Sky Big Changes Photo by Mary MacIntyre

I downloaded an interview with Bob Proctor from www.tryitoneverything.com and as I was reviewing some files today I decided to listen. Those who are experts on metaphysics, or the Law of Attraction may not find it illuminating. I however can learn from things that I may have heard 100 times. I’ve been exploring self improvement for years, and metaphysics almost as long, at least 20 years.

However, I essentially am doing a large refresher course due to recent health issues and work issues. Though I had intended to write while I listened, I quickly started taking notes. Here’s some of the points that I want to remember. Perhaps they’ll spark an interest for you too. (You can go to the site to see if the free offer still is available)

Critical thinking is one of the best muscles to develop. Try on new lenses to get an idea of how your world can change. For me the faith muscle is even more important.

Know Thyself. He speaks about the energetic field, the inner emotional you, and beliefs.

Improve yourself. It’s your job to take responsibility and be creative on this life journey. Energize your efforst. Create adventures.

Beliefs change as you evaluate your situation, and the situations around you. Look at your life from a possibility perspective. Opportunity and e-motion will start moving.

PRAXIS = integration of belief and behavior. Share what you learn.

Forgive often. Hate and resentment dry up the joints. As I was meditating this morning, I thought, I need to move into forgiveness to aid my healing. Now I know another reason why.

Hope you enjoy!

Idea Generation: Let your mind Multiply Solutions

Plant healthy happy attitudes

Plant healthy happy attitudes

Ever get stuck? It doesn’t matter where or why: Stuck can be a big problem anywhere. Got it? OK.

We may not have time to get outside and sweep or inertia away. Problems may seem to cascade into our perception all at once. Then there is the stuff at home lurking about. And that ache in your neck, and the computer strain on your eys and the BUdget!!!!! Typos don’t help either.

Breathe.

Fortunately, with a little conscious effort, thoughts can be put on the bookshelf and ideas lead from one point to many points. Create your own waterfall of productive ideas. Grab you paper and turn a blank page into a roadmap. At work? Just grab a pad. Write two word thoughts. Return to work. Then add two word questions. Return to work. Repaeat several times and you may find the brain taking cues and providing more answers.
Blog readers?
Traffic increase?
Faster production?
See it is really easy.

What do my readers really want? How can I help this blog provide better content? Could it positively effect my readership?

Hmmm, I am asking the questions and the answers are not coming. Perhaps it is time for youtube.

Trick: Create answers by reversing the question. Turn it into a statement. I could provide my readers with improved content. This would create more traffic. I could write my blog more frequently which creates more traffic. Hey just go to www.writersunbound.com
for more ideas, on these topics. Seriously, if you start using the techniques above you will find many answers and greater solution flow than you would expect.

Ask a buffalo photo by Mary MacIntyre

Ask a buffalo photo by Mary MacIntyre

James Taylor had a song…

A good friend of mine was just told “Don’t call me anymore” from a friend she’s known for years. This has probably happened to all of us one time or another. Sometimes there is nothing one can do to resolve these painful partings.

What’s one to do? Look around you and know that others care for you too. Hopefully. Call them.

Years later these voices still ring true. Friends come in so many varieties. Erase rules of how they must be. Begin to treasure the gifts that each offer. “Feel Free to SIng!” C. King

Give yourself time to be alone, and mourn.

Hope you listen to these “old timers” words. They provide a lot of suggestions toward…appreciating friends.

Just as it is important to be ourselves, it also can be wonderful to stand with and for another. When you can, open your heart to those you love and meet. Your loving enriches the world. IF it feels right, perhaps today and all week long, you might let your friends know how much you appreciate their kindness and love. Feel free to copy and share these thoughts often. Thank you. Remember comments are always welcomed.

Today’s EFT Quote: “Recently I was visiting my mother when I accidentally poured lots of boiling water over my hand. There was not enough time to cool it, and it felt like flames were shooting out of it. As I had nothing at hand, I tried a few rounds of EFT. I then fell asleep and when I woke 20 minutes later, the pain was gone COMPLETELY. It did not come back!” Monica Denes

Did you know? … there is an entire section on Using EFT for slimming down at http://www.emofree.com/articles.aspx?id=2

A cat story:
By Maureen Cram

Some readers will already have heard of my ginger cat, Uti. For those that have not read about him before, he was purchased from a pet shop at a far too early age, not house trained at all, had no hygiene skills etc. He had no idea how to dig holes to use for his toilet purposes (and still doesn’t really know what to do) and makes very loud slurps when he washes himself.

I have worked on him for his fear of thunder, his inability to eat premium cat food (he used to have permanent diarrhea) and his basic self confidence - all with success using EFT.

We have recently moved from a townhouse complex in the Johannesburg area (city living) to a much larger piece of land (just under two acres) in a development in Hartbeespoort, which has a large dam/lake. It is a bush-like area with game roaming around freely and you cannot easily see your neighbour’s houses.

In the past Uti would be extremely cautious when leaving the house, checking for who knows what (I am sure Uti knew what he was checking for) and generally not being venturesome at all.

When we moved here he appeared to have a personality makeover. Within hours he became Action Cat. He was the first one to use the cat flap in and out (he had not had to use a cat flap before). He explored the land, the other side of the road, down the road, under the culvert. he was Out There, showing my other five cats how it was done.

He was so proud of himself - being a trail blazer, doing things the others wouldn’t or couldn’t do. What a change for him! Then tragedy struck.

Our cat door has different settings and unbeknownst to me the person who does our house cleaning inadvertently moved the setting key when she was cleaning the mud off the cat flap and in doing so stopped the cats from being able to get in from the outside (they wear magnets on their collars). We have a ‘racoon proof’ door to keep out the monkeys.

At 3 am we heard screaming and wailing and rushed to see what was going on.

We had to find the key to open the door and let in poor Uti who rushed in, bleeding profusely, panting and in total shock. Something had bitten him that was small enough to come through the cat sized hole in the wall and he was unable to push open the flap and escape.

We examined him and found a large bite mark on one of his back feet. I put a drop of lavender essential oil on it and we put Uti on the bed to calm him down.

I immediately lay there and did surrogate EFT for Uti on and off throughout the rest of the night to help heal the bite, allowing healing energy to enter his body and help heal his wound etc. I also did EFT on me for the guilt I felt that this trusting cat could not get in through the door and I should have checked the door more than I did.

The next day he lay on the bed, licking his wound and basically doing nothing. He limped badly if I put him on the floor and he hid behind some packing boxes for the rest of the day. That night he lay on our bed right next to me and did not move off the bed at all. I did more EFT on him for healing the wound, that he was a brave cat, etc.

He continued to lie around and lick the wound and not do much else. That night he was on the bed again next to me for the whole night.

The following day I was out walking and wondering what else I could do for Uti when this big cloud of sadness came over me and I got tears in my eyes.

He was a failure. he was depressed because he had ‘failed’ yet again.

Everything he did was a failure. he couldn’t dig holes, couldn’t wash himself properly, slurped when he washed himself. and now this. He was a total failure now he had gotten bitten. None of the other cats had gotten bitten. Only Uti the Failure.

I did several rounds of EFT on him, working on Even though I feel like a failure I am a great cat. Even though I got bitten I am a trail blazing action cat. Even though I failed again I didn’t really fail as I now have a ‘war wound’ to show for myself and I am still a great cat.

I tapped on myself saying I am an action cat. I have war wounds to show for my bravery. I am a great cat. the other cats didn’t go outside like I did. I am a trail blazing cat. I am Uti the Action Cat. I can be a day Action Cat - I don’t have to go out at night if I don’t want to … nobody goes out at night … and felt a huge sigh.

I came back home and found Uti and stroked him and told him he was still our Action Cat. He was the bravest cat we had. About an hour later I was working at my PC when I felt a cat brushing and bumping around my legs to say hello. I absent-mindedly patted the cat and then realised it was Uti! No limping! Purring around me as usual!

I stopped work and petted him and hugged him and told him what a fantastic Action Cat he was. He seemed very happy and he ate some biscuits without limping. Then he hopped up on a chair and went to sleep in a normal position, not all hunched up.

He has gone from strength to strength. no more limping. swelling in his foot totally gone (also his front foot was swollen and that has gone down and is healing nicely) and he is now running about like he used to. Today I saw him across the road again with two of the other cats following him!

So once again, a big thank you to EFT - no vet visit, no drugs pumped into his system, emotionally healed as well as physically healed. Uti the Action Cat takes a bow!

Stay strong!

Stay strong!

Have you heard of upstream video? Well today, I am listening to Gateway to Wealth for free. I always like learning new stuff, especially if I can apply it to my business. As I was also doing other tasks, I took only a few notes. Powerful lecture…it is going on all weekend!

Points: If you have something to share, teach, or promote the following is tremendously valuable. You can create your own “media” outlet.

If you are someone who wants to have access to those who have something to promote, share, or teach….choose the media you want to see and hear.

You can readily remember learning new stuff whether it is how to fry grasshoppers or chaos theory in physics is good food for the brain. Especially as you get older. Listening to a seminar such as this may spark another idea that could transform your life. Seriously.

Short story: Long ago I wanted to change my career and life. I had programmed myself with many limitations even though I had blown away a lot of traditional approaches to career development already. I was selling computers in a Radio Shack store when an early graphics program became available. I saw a way that I could develop and market my art career. Within six months I was in art school. I fell in love with painting. One idea opened a door that I could….

Now the power of video was demonstated this morning, when Lynn Pierce stood up and did an endorsement to the speaker. I figure there are maybe 1000 or more people watching this show(I was only listening). In less than 20 seconds she did a complete commercial.
I went to her site to see what she is up to. I copied it.

Almost spring SW

Almost spring SW

http://www.greatworkmovie.com/

It’s Sunday afternoon, and I want to go out and play. I will write one blog instead of 4 more blogs and return this evening. Looked for an album to listen to and couldn’t find it.

Misc.
Thus I found something else to inspire me.
Now I can settle in and write rather quickly? Tomorrow will be a work filled day to which my mind or perhaps body rebelled against. I will put on my solution finder cloak and…it is that bad, as many new “situations” arrived unexpectedly on Friday. Exhale. Breath flows back in. At least I have lots of work to do.

Many of my frriends and associates are dealing with all those folks unemployed. Even my relatively secure PT job may evaporate, or have serious hour reduction. Again I have multiple jobs and can expand my owrk online. It’s the timing that makes everything awkward. C’est la vie for the little guy.

These thoughts mad Michael Bengay Stanier’s new movie: perfect timer, as it redirects my thinking. Everyone should watch it, and if you are lucky enough to read this blog before midnight 2/22/09, you can also download the 46 page 3 chapters workbook from his about to be published new book!

Michael from Box of Crayons also has other films you may want to watch. Intermission:

Music can make all the difference too. Erase fear and worry for the moment. Make notes for an action plan. What can you offer the world fast and maintain GREAT WORK? A friend of mine is sitting and collecting unemployment for a “break”. She may need it, but what about creating positions or opportunites where one may work, do good, help others? IS life about sitting back and taking it easy?

Frankly everyone gets to choose her own course. Yeah the guys too. I choose to work odd jobs so I have freedom to pursue my health, my art, and dreams. I get by usually. The government doesn’t support me. Though they could.

Everyone younger, and with family, and big normal bills really are pushed much further. Lifes are crashing on cold concrete. SO share ideas and this blog or movie to help open eyes, and directions. Praise be and love to all! PS Dare to be great!

Laugh, sing, and dance! Create days of love!

This grass dances! Even in Mid winter!

This grass dances! Even in Mid winter!

Just because valentine’s is over, doesn’t mean you can’t create days of love. Google: Peace in 5 years. Sing! or SIng along, or listen to music, music, music, or make your own.

Perhaps not what you expected. Yes we can start with the lighthearted. Play again and laugh some more. I like Robin’s music. Perhaps the brain began to relax and you started to feel better. The pictures invited your body to roam. Roll some more.

Now sway with Jesse’s Cook’s rhythms. Perhaps a yearning moves within. Stand up and let the body sway. Listen go deeper within, and then stretch. Open your your lungs. MOve to every note. Breath again. Let you r hips sway , and turn around turna around, turn around.

Drum and dance the tempo has changed, the world has changed, and you are changing, dance, dance, dance or drum on everything. Let those head and shoulders roll. Come on a smile may cross your face. Yes happiness in the winter, anytime. Share this with friends. Dance laugh, sing!

Yes, I include the unexpected. I have never listened to this poem. What would you write, what do you see, how do you feel? If you could create more days of love, how would you sculpt them? Would your reach beyond your nest, family, safe zones? Would you help the poor, lonely, forgotten? Would you let your spirit beam as your days journey before you? There are some who believe that if we conduct our days with love, and expand into our communites that these times will reach into the universe, and peace will spread as fast as spring rains flood the earth, and rivers swell with snow melt, and earth according prings forth. Dare yea join such a borderless faithful awakening? Thank you for reading. Drum!

Well finally my friend did write and now Trevor and I are prepared to work with her through this. So he is very helpful, responds to is emails, and is willing to deal with 2 ladies in the USA whilst he is working hard in Austraila! He is definitely providing added value. Check out his site and see how he might help you.

I love youtube.com. I was writing another blog where I included a video by Napolian Hill. And a free ebook. You can find Paul Penton’s gift on www.writersunbound.com

Well youtube now plays another video after one ends. So suddenly I received another lesson about the relationship of spirit, imagination, and wealth. Wealth takes many forms. So as you listen to these videos, apply these principles to multiple aspects of your life.

Unexpected changes, job losses, health challenges and more can create incredible fear and havoc in one’s life. I do not intend to minimize the emotional turmoil that people experience. However, during these times, listening to your heart, carving a path by your own direction, and unleashing your inner strength can produce terrific results. In these times realize your inner power. Listen, read, and find support for your positive journey. Encourage your children, and be the role model they need. This is true even if you are a Mom or Dad at age 16. Ask for what you want. This is time you most need to celebrate your life.

In times where darkness may surround you. Find the magic within the dark. Find the faith to proceed. There is no way to create a cookie cutter solution. Yo, like a well trained warrior can be alert, can surround yourself with all your tools of awareness. This is your path. Choose the direction that will enhance your good. Fear not the darkness. When dawn arrives, you will triumphantly greet the dawn victorious. So go listen to the next video too. Grab your notebook.

Now during this time I’ve relistened to these videos. My energy is up and open. I’m off to listen to Chopin now while I work some more here. Have a blessed day.

Just did a blog on an old site. Fortunately wordpress upgraded it, and it has more potential now. The blog is Ramblings and Thoughts From Santa Fe. www.marysphotos.wordpress.com. Hey it was awhile ago. There are a few good recipes there.

I found a wonderful photo of a buffalo, but alas I can’t find the same one again. There’s a long story about these photos. For a short version, I send you back to www.marysphotos.wordpress.com.

As many of you may know the buffalo holds many meanings for many Native American tribes. One way of explaining the relationship of an animal or plant and the human would be to describe the feelings experienced when visited by the animal. If you can open yourself to both the relationship, the stories, and the spirit of the animal you may open a door to a spiritual aspect of yourself.

In my journeys throught my life I have had such relationships with wild animals and the earth. These were not my cultural teachings but seemed to naturally co-exist with my Christian upbringing. I discovered God, one morning around sunrise in the dew and New England sky: age 3. I befriended birds soon after. I kept much secret due to outsiders beliefs.

When I came to New Mexico I was astounded to see a huge white buffalo in the sky in cloud form. Later I met Bison and buffalo in my travels. Some of the pictures included are from one day when I had “conversations” with buffalo. Then I found the following video.

If you are Christian, you might also experience God where I speak of earth or spirit. Many suggest God is within all beings, all life, all universe. Our idenitfying or meeting another creates sacred commnication. Rest awhile and breathe in life, exhale worry. Practise often. Walk upon the earth celebrating and protecting all life. Our gifts and blessing are many.

As it is late, I will be short. Tips come often in tightly wrapped brown paper package with tough twine knotted. Each person may identify a different aspect of the package’s magic. This story captures more than a tip alone will tell. Listen.

Of Death and Shoes

His shoes line the floor of the closet, never having moved since the day when he took his last breath in the rented hospital bed that was set up in the study on the second floor.

In a small wooden box in the back corner of the closet, various tins of shoe polish sit in a jumble, together with several brushes, cloths, and other classically masculine tools of footwear ablution. And even though the word ablution generally refers to the ceremonial washing of one’s body—or parts thereof—it can also be inferred to represent the act of cleaning sacred containers, and for his fastidious and proud self, the thoughtful care of shoes was indeed a sacred act.

Those shoes, so illustrative of his lifelong desire for both order and elegant conveyance, are a manifestation of how he approached the physical world and the objects that he esteemed. Like everything else in his life, these utilitarian vessels were well cared for, clean, and thoughtfully placed in an order which must have made perfect sense to the author of their arrangement.

There are the dress shoes, brown and black, so common to older gentlemen of his generation. There is one pair of white patent leather loafers that one might see on a septuagenarian Floridian on the way to the country club for a game of bridge. Further back towards the wall, one will also find leather Totes, those relatively inexpensive faux leather boots lined with artificial black fur that can be easily slipped on during winter nights when there is wet snow on the ground and a trash can to be rolled to the curb after nightfall.

Even though he would rarely wear them in public, several pairs of sneakers also live among their footwear brethren. Grass-stained and obviously used for household chores, these two pairs of tennis shoes still convey a sense of his neatness, his clinging to order, and his utter sense of propriety in that they were never worn beyond the confines of the house or yard, except of course for a few rushed trips to Home Depot or the local hardware store on a Saturday afternoon.

Last but not least, his beloved slippers sit on the right side of the closet in a most convenient place for easy access and use. Embossed with the image of his feet—like his own personal Shroud of Turin—these two pairs of footwear speak of cozy winter afternoons in front of the TV, hot chocolate in hand, his beloved wife at his side. The newer pair, less worn yet obviously loved and cared for, were the last things he wore on his gouty feet. Three days before his death, he made his final trip to the bathroom wearing this particular pair, assisted by the home health aide sent by the hospice agency providing his end-of-life care.

These brown slippers, purchased at JC Penney’s just two months prior to his diagnosis, were so warm and comfortable, and it brought tears to his eyes as he shuffled to the bathroom, realizing that he would most likely never wear them again. In fact, it was clear to him on that day as he was painfully but gently guided to the toilet, that he would return to that cursed hospital bed and assuredly never leave it.

Bedbound and wasting, eschewing all solid foods and taking only sips of water or ginger ale, the simple comforts of slippers, scarves, gloves and cozy jackets were like wispy details of a once active life now inexorably slipping through his weakening fingers.

A tree of many seasons and circles photo by Mary MacIntyre

I love this picture of the old apple tree. I was particulary drawn to it this day since half still was green and the rest fully fall colors. It also created three circles, each intersecting the other as light changed. The inner shelter was one created by the thinner limbs bending heavy with ripened fruit. The outer circle divided the tree form the field, and included a perimeter worn into the earth from visitors meandering about the tree. This tree old, had somehow survived the diasppearance of once a productive farm. as the sun and clouds danced the shadows skirted in and out, erasing what seemed to exist moments before.

So if you need some tips, here are a few:

Be glad you have those you love now.
Pay close attention to grandmas, and if you are lucky grandpas.
People can join the dance of clouds and sun unexpectedly.
Call them. Write them.
Can we imagine what their years hold, or their thoughts long for?

Be glad for the youth around you.
They hold light and unexpected wonder
we can see and feel differently from their expression.

Don’t take life too seriously
make your path full of spirit
look those you love in the eye

perhaps you can see beyond
mutual history.

be glad that wild mustangs can still run
that deserts share secrets
and moutains provide homes for lions.

and if you are up late at night
be still, listen
count blessings
and send prayers to
those you love.

if you have nothing else to do,
you might write a letter to a favorite teacher,

or remember to treat your grandma well
no excuses.

Well lost tme there. So 10 life daily tips:
1) Don’t take calls after 9 PM. Especially if there is work to be done.
2) QUit work: get off the computer by 11PM.
3)Create downtime, unwind time before midnight bedtime.
4)admit it: I am addicted to online work/marketing.
5) Take notes. Read them later as a great reality check.
6) Create folders…where is that ebook?
7) Take breaks, maybe even a short walk.
8) Eat!
9) Spend time with family and friends.
10) Perfection is not needed. Take action.
OK I got the tips down fast enough. I will go beyond my 11 minutes to finish this blog. I will break my rule about getting off the computer by 11 PM.

I came home after evening shift at work. Hunger surged throughout me: afterall I had not really eaten supper. So I ate, Took care of cats. Cleaned up some of my messes. Had re-energized enough to come to work.

Bring…landline phone. It was after nine o’clock. A client was on the phone, in somewhat a panic. She was trying to get something done and really wanted me to do her work right then. Boundaries anyone? So I gave her a few tips, and she took notes. She had not read the emails I sent with ebooks addressing the exact topics she needed help with. One hour later.

So I went to read te ebooks, and they didn’t have as much information. I tried copying some:nada. However I did get her some stuff she needed.

At last get some information I needed. Classic: I could not find the book I wanted! I had meetings, and have been working since 8 AM today! Now 11:07 PM. SO where is the punchline here???

Reread the tips. Our passion can carry us far. However, some balance needs to come into our/my lives. I did have breakfast with a friend. I did take time to juice veggies for health. I did enjoy my evening shift at work. I am estactic at my increased energy and less pain in the body.
