Gardening ( my previous post) can provide a fine meataphor for living. In our busy world, we may not sufficient time to do the spring cleaning of our mind. We may not even be taking enough time to exercise our mind, our faith, or visions.

Below you will find a few suggestions on how you can achieve, and may enact your mental and spiritual spring cleaning.

1) Take a walk. Appreciate what you see. This walk may just be in your yard or around your office complex.
2) Take 2-5 minutes when you wake up thinking of 5 good things about today.
3) Scatter seeds for your imagination to play with.
4) While driving, scatter seeds of love and health.
5) While cooking pray about anything that comes in your mind.
6) Sign up for or iniate a church retreat.
7) In the shower release at least 3 negative thoughts a day. Wash them away.
8) Feed your imagination. Learn something new.
9) Draw. If you don’t know how, get crayons and paper and draw just anyway you can for fun. (You have permission to cheat and use coloring books).
10) Pick one dream, sketch out a plan to realise it, and take one step a week or more if you have energy toward realizing that dream.

It’s Spring, and growing, changing, wondrous energy is in the air. Be Spring. Enjoy spring. Breathe spring. Scatter thosse seeds and they will grow.

Take a walk into a country or vacant lot. Notice all the plants that grow there naturally. If you were to go into many fancy nurseries, or gardening and landscaping shops, you may find a growing trend to design with plants that grow naturally in your region. Wildflower mixes are immensely popular.

Also many of you might yearn for luscious gardens, but simply you not have the time or money to design and care for them. Let me share with you a few secrets.

Your imagination and a thoughtful consideration can fast forward your garden.

1) Select 2-3 spots where you would like to plant. Are they locations with adeqaute light? Does rain or water naturally fall there? Is it a protected space? I have a lilac bush that is near my porch roof runoff. I hardly ever have to water it. ALso I have a bucket to catch water for the dry between rain times.

2) Go to your local garden supply shop. Try to buy local, the people there will give you a lot more information. Spend the extra few dollars, that money will circulate back into your community. Buy some dirt and seeds.

3) Dig small beds in the chosen locations. Use the hard dirt as support to the dirt you just bought. Pour in the dirt to a mound two to four inches above the hole. Pack the sides with the old dirt and rocks or twigs.

4) Scrape to one end about 2 inches of dirt. You can either make rows or patterns for the seeds, or you can just throw seeds across the bed. Use the dirt scraped to cover the seeds and pat down.

5) Let te rain start germination, or in a day or two water them. Thin only as needed.

This rountine has worked for me many times over the years. I also do more traditional ways of planting for bulbs, and food “crops”.

The Law of Attraction for Regular People

It is a common sense thing really. Look around, do some research and
you will soon have a picture of just how much of the western world is
over weight. Now if all of these lotions, potions, machines and programs
really worked the majority of the western world would be slim fit and
healthy.

Ok, so why don’t diets work? If you are beginning to have a deeper
understanding of the law of attraction it will be easy for you to answer
that question.

The law of attraction states that like attracts like, that we attract what
we focus on the most and we become what we think and feel about the
most.

Then it stands to reason that if a person feels that they need to loose
weight, their focus and attention is fixed upon loosing weight, and if their
attention is fixed upon loosing weight what will they attract? Yep, having
to loose weight. They will live their lives in a constant state of having to
loose weight. It is much like needing money to pay your bills, as you fix
your thoughts upon needing money; you simply create a deeper and
deeper need for money.

If you decide you want to loose weight, you must accomplish two things
before you even consider creating a plan of action. Firstly you must learn
to love yourself, it will be impossible to loose weight if you do not love
yourself, I will explain why later on. Secondly you must forget that you
need to loose weight.

If you can accomplish these two things and begin to see yourself as the
magnificent child of God, all-powerful being and limitless creator that
you are, reaching your perfect weight will be as easy as reaching into the
refrigerator for a refreshing bottle of water.

Amazing Body Tip #1

No more insults. One thing that many overweight people do is constantly
direct very negative words towards them selves. Every time they pass a
mirror and catch sight of their silhouette the insults or negative mind
chatter starts. This goes back to what we were talking about in the
previous chapter about loving yourself. A huge part of loving yourself is
stopping the insults and speaking kindly to your self.

When you see yourself naked stop and look at your body, really look at it
and understand that you created it so you can change it. Also when you
look at your body, remember that is all it is, a body. It is just the casing
that carries your true self, the better wiser higher you. An oyster is not
enjoyed because of its shell, it is enjoyed because of what is inside and so
it is with you. It is time for you to enjoy yourself because of who you
really are and not because of the packaging of you. Stop playing with the
bubble rap and get to the gift inside.

Think of all the things you love about your body, your gorgeous eyes,
your sexy mouth, your luscious hair and focus on those things. When
you catch sight of your reflection do not start criticizing say ‘hello
gorgeous’ look away and move on. I promise you that if you keep that up
for a month you will suddenly find that when you look at yourself in a
mirror no insult will come to mind, you will have trained your mind to
accept the new belief, you are gorgeous.

Start seeing yourself the way others see you. This was a huge one for me.
Instead of walking around all day long complaining that I was over
weight, I started to look at people when they gave me a compliment and I
mean really look into their eyes, to see what they saw in me. What I saw
amazed me. I saw true admiration, respect, and love and yes sometimes
sex. I found it shocking but very exciting to discover that some men
thought I was very sexy, especially when all I could see was way too
many bulges.

Instead of laughing it off or immediately countering a compliment with
an apologetic insult, I started to smile and say ‘thank you, I appreciate it”
and I truly did, because every time I received a compliment it added more
evidence to my mind that I was a worthwhile human being and worthy of
respect, admiration, love and sex. Doing this over a period of time really
helped me to begin looking at myself in a completely different way and
helped me recognize my own value.

Amazing Body Tip #2

Reach your perfect weight. If you are serious about using the law of
attraction to reach your ideal size then I highly recommend Perfect
Weight by Deepak Chopra. What an amazing little book it is, in just a few
short chapters Chopra manages to spell out why traditional weight loss
methods do not work and then goes on to give a detailed specific plan on
how to discover your true body type, how to eat correctly for your body
type and how to exercise correctly for your body type.

This book resonated with me because it is not a weight loss book, notice
the title, it is not called the Chopra Diet or Loose Weight with Deepak.

No, it is much more than that, it is a life style change and this is in total
harmony with the teachings of the law of attraction. The law of attraction
is not about jumping into action to make things happen it is about
changing yourself on the inside so the things around you on the outside
change automatically.

Amazing Body Tip #3

Do it for you. If your mother wants you to loose weight, tell her to ______.
If your father wants you to loose weight tell him to ______________.
If your extended family, friend’s, co-workers or neighbors want you to
loose weight gather them all together and tell them to ______________.

Basically do not go after perfect weight because others want you to.
Perfect weight cannot be obtained because it is the wish of someone else;
it has to be your wish. If you are over weight and yet you are active and
healthy and you are happy in your own skin then the others can talk till
the cows come home.

Do no try to live up to what other people think is the right standard for
you. They cannot make that call for you, only you can do that. If you
follow their commands and loose weight you will still not be happy and
most likely you will put back on the weight anyway because it is not
what you wanted in the first place. So politely or not so politely if it is
necessary, tell your well-meaning family and friends to back off and leave
you alone, you are happy and if you are happy they should be happy for
you.

A few years ago two of my weight obsessed Aunt’s came over to visit, it
got to the point where I could no longer take their well meaning
suggestions for how I should go about loosing weight and I told them that
I was not trying to loose weight and I wanted to gain weight so that I
could become a female sumo wrestler. Needless to say this left them
rather bewildered and concerned, so they immediately turned their
attention to my mother to try to come up with a plan to save me from
myself.

I continued telling people that I was trying to reach sumo size for quite a
few years until I realized that it was a cop out.

I was justifying my weight, albeit in a rather bizarre way. I then changed
my focus and stopped apologizing. When anyone told me I needed to
loose weight I thanked him or her for the input and told him or her that I
was perfectly happy the way I was. It did not take long before I noticed
that people stopped commenting about my weight all together.

The universe responds to your strongest, feelings, words and actions.

I was emitting a frequency of love and acceptance of me, so wherever I
went people loved and accepted me and did not see the over weight body
that I was previously so obsessed by.

Amazing Body Tip #4

Get off your butt. No amount of visualization, affirmations or positive
thinking is going to help you if you sit in front of the TV night after night
stuffing your face with potato chips and popcorn. There must be some
activity in your life. It does not mean that you have to go and join the
skinny people gym and face the staring and sniggering. It just means you
have to put in some effort. In Deepak Chopra’s book Perfect Weight he
mentions walking for 30 minutes a day. You could start by walking for
20 minutes twice a week and build up to longer more frequent walks.

But it does not have to be walking; your activity could be playing with
your dog in the park, going swimming, using an exercise bike at home,
running around with your kids in the yard or raking up leaves in the
garden. It does not matter what you do, just do it for at least 30 minutes
and do it frequently, daily is best.

Also make sure it is something that you enjoy doing; you will not keep it
up other wise and do not view it as the exercise that you have to do in
order to loose weight, think of it as the activity you love to take part in
daily because it makes you feel good.

Amazing Body Tip #5

Be patient. The amount of time it takes to reach your perfect weight will
depend upon several things like, your level of belief; you’re past
experiences and your level of vibration. So no one can tell you how
quickly you will reduce your weight. Be patient, kind and loving to your
self this will definitely speed up the process. Do not jump on the scales
everyday to check to see if you are really loosing.

By doing this you’re emitting a frequency of lack of belief, you are telling
the universe that you do not believe that it will deliver your perfect
weight to you, so that will become your experience.

Relax; follow the tips in this e-book and in Deepak Chopra’s Perfect
Weight. Devise a plan for yourself, use affirmations, visualize yourself at
your perfect weight and most importantly enjoy the process, it is not a
test of speed but one of determination. If you are truly focused on the out
come of your request, if you remain a vibrational match for your desire
and if you make healthy choices for yourself the result must be perfect
weight.

I downloaded an interview with Bob Proctor from www.tryitoneverything.com and as I was reviewing some files today I decided to listen. Those who are experts on metaphysics, or the Law of Attraction may not find it illuminating. I however can learn from things that I may have heard 100 times. I’ve been exploring self improvement for years, and metaphysics almost as long, at least 20 years.

However, I essentially am doing a large refresher course due to recent health issues and work issues. Though I had intended to write while I listened, I quickly started taking notes. Here’s some of the points that I want to remember. Perhaps they’ll spark an interest for you too. (You can go to the site to see if the free offer still is available)

Critical thinking is one of the best muscles to develop. Try on new lenses to get an idea of how your world can change. For me the faith muscle is even more important.

Know Thyself. He speaks about the energetic field, the inner emotional you, and beliefs.

Improve yourself. It’s your job to take responsibility and be creative on this life journey. Energize your efforst. Create adventures.

Beliefs change as you evaluate your situation, and the situations around you. Look at your life from a possibility perspective. Opportunity and e-motion will start moving.

PRAXIS = integration of belief and behavior. Share what you learn.

Forgive often. Hate and resentment dry up the joints. As I was meditating this morning, I thought, I need to move into forgiveness to aid my healing. Now I know another reason why.

In April in NH fishing season begins. As a young girl my father used to take me fishing. We fished everywhere, on streams and brooks, on rivers, and seawater flats, on lakes and ponds. If there was water, and we had access to it (except for polluted rivers, etc.) we went fishing. This was great for me as I loved being outside in nature. I also learned self sufficiency, a little patience a nd a lot of problem solving.

If I got tangled: it was my problem. I had to land my fish alone. I had to bait the hook, often with the worms I had dug up. I had to take the fish off the hook. I did not however clean a fish until my 20’s.

My father also loved to fly fish. So I curious about an ebook I found on fly fishing. If you don’t know anything about fly fishing, go watch the Movie: A River Runs Through (it). Here are a few tips.
1) You are going to get. You’ll need big boots. Google fly fishing supplies.
2) You need a special flyfishing rod and reel.
3) Be careful of drop offs, rivers often have strong currents.
4) Rocks can be great friends.
5)Study up on flies that will make the best “lures”.
6) Eat the fish you catch. Otherwise why torture them???

Youtube is doing maintenance so I hope I have the correct song. Tonight after my acupuncture session with Dr Daniel Cobb, I actually walked pain free. I also walked more smoothly with less effort. This was a major breakthrough for me. I now know that I can walk so easily. Last year this time, I could barely walk.

As I was getting ready for dinner tonight, the tune Walk On came to mind. I decided to sing out loud, which my cats did not appreciate. I am so happy! I am programming my mind to remember this as it may or may not last very long. I happened to run into Dan at the grocery store and just had to tell him.

So how does this relate to you?
Often we place limits or limiting beliefs on ourselves without realizing it. Last year I carried a belief that I could not afford to see a doctor. Also I should be able to heal myself. Well getting beyond those thoughts opened me up to a world of help. (Of course this is Snata FE NM where there are many generous practioners, and I did know Dan, but to ask when I had little $$ was hard to do).

Identify an area where you want to improve. Or need help. Or a challenge you want to take.

List three reasons that you are having trouble. Set those reasons aside. You can use them whenever needed, just set them aside. Now outline 5 ways you could address your concerns or project.

EFT and Heartmath

Combining EFT with other techniques intensifies the healing effect. One of the simplest ways to do this is to use the Heartmath breathing technique with EFT.

First, bring your focus to your heart and breathe in and out as if you are breathing through your heart. Then think about something you feel grateful for.

After a few moments, when you feel relaxed, do a round of EFT. You can do the heart focusing exercise after the EFT if you want.

This brings the heart into a state of coherence, which reduces stress and enhances intuition. It will help you to have better focus, more energy, and improved mental clarity for any issue you are working on.

Anger and Weight Gain…yep there is a connection.

Ever notice when you are encouraged to experience a topic, suddenly you hear about it from multiple sources. If you read my last blog, you’ll remember my mention of the word anger. Now my D.O.M. has for months been encouraging me to re-connect with my feelings. I tried lots of stuff but still seemed consciously resisting the anger connection.

So last week, I made more of an effort to watch my feelings. I knew I was really angry with myself. Talk about that later. Maybe a decade from now. I started noticing other minor ripples of this emotion. I spent some time journaling and actually felt being angry.

Then I was off to my usual activities and before I knew it I was in a confrontation that really irked me. I was at work, and buried it until later. When I arrived home, I noticed my whole body was hot. I was furious. So I rationally asked myself “WHY?”

Read my earlier blog. Bullying at work from 2 co-workers for over a year.

Well, I knew I had a meeting at work with the store manager to discuss the situation. I wanted to be cool and be able to discuss things rationally, calmly. I went to do an EFT (emotional freedom technique) lession online. Guess what part of the discussion was about? Yep. Anger.

The body creates a shield for us when we feel we are in danger. It literally creates a layer of fat. This can happen even to people who eat and exercise right. That’s enough to make anyone angry! When we are angry with our body, it does the same. It’s trying to protect us.

That’s point one. Now if we are under stress as well, you guessed it the body creates more fat. One solution to change this is to become the reassuring and loving inner parent. If we accept our situation (the fat), and describe how you or I am not really in danger, and allow more loving energy to flow then adversity can become an ally and as the body (us) relaxes so does the melting of fat. Hey I’ll sign up for this one. The second experience is that as we (you/I) feel less fearful, it is easier to find solutions to problems that just don’t smell like roses.

Hopefully this will give you some perspective how anger builds fat

Peace at last....

Peace at last....

I think lately I have become a stress magnet. Some of this is my own fault, which is a strange confession to make when I am feeling rather angry. Yet yes, some of this is true. The rest is HIS fault.

I think everyone has an overshare of stress lately. When all this is ping balling through the air, it is often easier to just explode than to find a clamer way to communicate. I hit the explosion level this weekend which is good for I have been holding back so long.

So what is the best way to handle these powerful emotions? I need a few tips! Yep, I don’t have all the answers this time and I’d be really happy to hear your thoughts.

It was real easy when a customer who was talking about quitting smoking added how he was yelling a lot at his employees. This seemed to be a powerful thing for him to speak, as he began owning his anger, and partially ackowledging that yelling at his employees might not be an effective behavior and that maybe they were the total reason he was upset. (I took him over to Country Life’s Omega Mood, where he also mentioned he was actually feeling depressed)

Well, I want to feel my anger for awhile and express it. I just want to find a safer more effective way of expressing it at the workplace. Today I did great grounding work and thought I was almost over it. I worked in my yard and was excited by all the plants that are growing, and my getting one plot of garden ground ready. Teh a friend called in response to my please help me call. Tears again. Oh well.

So I’ll keep you updated. I am going to do some EFT soon. Please respond. Yes the two guys at work are real jerks too often, and I am fed up with that!

Well my problems are with co workers.

If all Americans would buy just 10% organic foods, 98 million daily servings of drinking water would be free of pesticides, 20 million daily servings of milk would be produced without antibiotics and growth hormones, 53 million servings of fruits and vegetables would be free of synthetic pesticide resides (that’s enough for 10 million kids to get their five-a-day) and it would eliminate the need for almost 3 billion barrels of imported oil annually (that’s equal to 406,000 Olympic swimming pools).
Start by buying even just 2% organic and work your way up from there.

Any time you hit the grocery store, meat market, even mall, take your own reusable shopping bag. Paper bags require a lot of energy to create and plastic bags are made from petroleum, a non-renewable resource, and they aren’t going anywhere. Considering that Americans use close to 85 billion a year, think about how many are just sitting in our dumps.

Embrace the Green Triangle
Americans generate 13 million tons of glass waste each year and enough aluminum to rebuild an entire commercial airline fleet every three months. Get in the habit of recycling your glass, plastics, aluminum and paper. Most curbside recycling programs collect these and there are accessible drop locations for them in nearly every city.

Reach for the Stars
Energy Star appliances use less energy, save you money and help protect the environment. Available products range from programmable thermostats to cordless phones. To give an example, Energy Star washing machines use 50% less energy and could reduce your utility bills by over $100 a year.

Green Your Ride
Even if you’re not ready to buy a hybrid, there are ways you can conserve fuel. Keep your tire pressure at the recommended level for greater fuel efficiency. Keep the AC on low, running it on high decreases your car’s fuel efficiency up to 25%. Check your air filter, because a clean one can make your car 10% more fuel efficient. And drive a little less. Cars release about a pound of CO2 for every mile driven, so avoid driving 20 miles a week and you’ll spare the environment 1000 pounds of CO2 emissions in a year.

many stresses and worries from day to day, you will want to have a regular cleansing day not
just one time and then never again. You might want to detox your mind once a week or once
every two weeks. If you are really pushed for time, you might go longer than that but the more
often, the better so your mind doesn’t get clogged down again.
One way you can release many of your past stresses, worries and fears is to keep a journal to
write daily about how you feel. Or maybe if you don’t have time to write daily you can write only
on your cleansing day. You might also want to write letters (that you don’t send) to yourself or
